This information came in files from John Ivan Laughton 1929, whose father was David Laughton 1861, brother of William Severn Laughton. John Edward was commonly referred to as "Jack Laughton".

John Edward Laughton was born on July 27, 1913 in Niagara Falls New York. His death is only reported to date as "1994". From his brother's file (William Alfred Laughton 1913) we know that he was christened in Niagara Falls, New York in 1913 and confirmed much later on December 26, 1937 in Beaumont, Texas. At the time of his brother's death, the obituary reports that his identical twin brother John Edward Laughton 1913 is residing in Newark, California and sister Jean Retchless is in Niagara Falls, NY

A picture of the "twins" was provided by Lindy Ryan Laughton, whose husband David Michael "Mike" Laughton is the son of William Alfred Laughton and Eleanor Ghostley Laughton. This image also appears on the page of William Severn Laughton 1872.

My supposition is that if they were born in 1913 and a 12 months old here (just a guess) then the girls could be their sisters. Marion was born in 1907 so that would have to be her, the older sister Marion 1907 who is holding the twins on her lap, as that could be a 7 year old. 	This clipping relates to the marriage of John "Jack" Edward Laughton 1913 to Mary Jane McHugh in September 1941. The engagement announcement is noted on the file as August 25, 1941.
