1964)
Margaret Elizabeth Laughton was the 4th
daughter of John Laughton 1829. The reports
note she was born on June 7, 1874 and died on January 10, 1964.

To
the best of my knowledge, Margaret Elizabeth Laughton did not
marry.
I believe the records show that after the
death of her brother William Severn
Laughton 1872 and his wife Amy (in 1927 and 1925
respectively), Aunt Margaret and Aunt Julia took over the care
of the twin boys William and John ("Billie &
Jack").
At some point Edward
Laughton 1876 also came back to Niagara Falls, to live with
the family, perhaps at the time of the death of Margaret and his
wife Bertha "Bert", both in 1964.
Margaret is buried in the Niagara
Falls Riverview Cemetery (Canada) along with many of the
John Laughton 1829 family. |

Falls NY), January 10, 1964. Margaret E. Laughton sister of
Edward Laughton, Manheim Penn, Pa. Aunt of Miss Irene
Black and Charles Black, both of this city, Jack Black, Orlando
Florida. Dr. William Laughton of Watertown, N.Y. and Mrs. Jean
Retchless this city. Also survived by several great nieces
and nephews.
and this tells us:
- neither Margaret or Julia married
- Jack Black was not living with the family
- Jean Retchless was living in NF as well |
