PAUL LAUGHTON (1887 - 1899)

The 1800's was a tough time for the young generation, with many succumbing to an early death from childbirth, scarlet fever, dropsy and accidental death.  The family records show the following for these special members of the Laughton clan, the details of which have been updated after our September 2004 visit to the Parkhill Cemetery family plot : (click on images for larger pictures)

Paul Van Wyck Laughton 1887-1899

Paul Van Wyck Laughton who was born on October 17, 1887 but who died in a drowning accident in Grand Bend at a mere 12 years of age in 1899. That agrees with the dates shown on the tombstone.

It appears, but is not confirmed, that the revised family tree of Uncle Paul shows the date of July 1, 1899.
